The new score by Henry Jackman to ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ is an example of the composer in ‘autopilot mode’: there is nothing original in the material, and the score is clearly derivative of his past compositions. This track is a good example of that, it employs theme very similar to his main motif from ‘X-men: First Class’, the album which is much better. His best score so far, ‘Gulliver’s Travels’, remains firmly in that position.
